PRINCETON UNIVERSITY – Penguin Cafe + Cole Porter’s ‘Within the Quota’

  • As well as the Penguins performing a set featuring tracks from the new album and some old favourites they will be collaborating with Princeton University to premiere of a very exciting project 'Within the Quota', a pantomime-ballet first created as a response to the United States' immigration quotas of 1921. This modern production, allegorized as an act of resistance to the policies of the current Trump administration, will be performed in Richardson Auditorium by the students of the Princeton University Ballet. Porter's music will be performed live in an arrangement prepared by Simon Morrison and Penguin Cafe, whose ten members are traveling to Princeton for the show.
